One Month Old Devil World Premieres at Alexandria Mediterranean Film Festival

Vision Egypt News:-By Ghassan ElKhouja, the short documentary One Month Old Devil will land its world premiere at the 36th edition of Alexandria Mediterranean Film Festival (November 7-12). The film’s distribution in the Arab world is handled by MAD Solutions.

Founded in 1979 by the Egyptian Film Writers and Critics Association, Alexandria Mediterranean Film Festival is a long-standing film event held every year in Alexandria.

The festival is currently presided by film critic Amir Abaza, and co-sponsored by Egypt’s Ministry of Culture and the Alexandria governorate.

Inspired by the late Dutch player, Johan Cruyff’s saying: “Football is like life! You are required to see, think, contemplate and move.”, the former international player in the World Cup qualifiers 1994, Fawzi Yammime, tells the story of his football life through a series of flashbacks highlighting old world cup memories.

Fawzi Yammime is also a writer, a university professor and a researcher in football philosophy. Directed and written by Ghassan ElKhouja, the One Month Old Devil short documentary’s distribution across the Arab world is handled by MAD Solutions.

Ghassan ElKhouja is a Lebanese independent filmmaker and a member of Syndicate of Cinema Technicians in Lebanon, who worked as a fulltime Lecturer / Coordinator of the Department of Mass Communication, Faculty of Arts, AZM University as well as a coordinator at Tripoli Film Festival. Furthermore, Elkhouja has joined a number of master classes and workshops in screenwriting, cinematography and videography at the Lebanese Film Academy.

ElKhouja enjoys a successful career in filmmaking. His repertoire includes: the short documentary Home Builders that had international screenings in major cities like Chicago and New York, the short film Let’s Play that was nominated for the Best Short Film award at Kan Amateur And Independent Film Festival in Poland, and the documentary film Ramadan Karim that was nominated for Best Short Film at Monaco Film Festival and Beirut International Documentary Festival.
