Abu Dhabi: – The 10th edition of the Zayed University Middle East Film Festival (ZUMEFF) concluded with Ali Lari, an aspiring UAE filmmaker, taking home the prestigious twofour54 Emerging Filmmaker Award. ZUMEFF, an annual student film festival, aims to inspire young filmmakers in the region and in its tenth edition featured films from 16 countries. twofour54, Abu Dhabi’s media and entertainment hub, partnered with Zayed University for the sixth time in a row as part of its ongoing commitment to nurturing creativity among youth.
As part of the participation of Tunisia in the 72nd session of the Cannes Film Festival, which will be held from Tuesday May 14 till Saturday May 25, 2019 and during which the Tunisian cinema will have a distinguished place this year through the participation of five movies by five Tunisian directors in the various sections of the festival, mailny "Caméra d'Afrique" by Ferid Boughdir in the Cannes Classiques section and "Tlamess" by Alaeddine Slim in the Directors Fortnight section;
The 37th session of the Medina Festival was opened on Friday May 10, 2019 at the Theater of Regions of the City of Culture in presence of M. Mohamed Zinelabidine, Minister of Cultural Affairs with the musical show "Lella", produced and directed by the artist Amina Srarfi whose career and creativity have earned her a great reputation both in Tunisia and in the Arab world. “Lella” is a spiritual musical show produced by Amina Srarfi celebrating the classical musical heritage.
