Syrian writer Nadia Al-Ahmar escapes from a mortar shell

Syrian writer Nadia Al-Ahmar survived the death of a mortar shell in Damascus.

She was hit by shrapnel in different parts of her body after a mortar shell exploded in Al-Qassa'a area near the Burj Al-Rous, where a number of civilians were killed and wounded.

She was taken to hospital and will be in bed for a month.
