Why did the Israeli embassy in Cairo thank the Egyptian historian Joseph Zidane?

The Israeli Embassy in Cairo sent a thank-you note to the well-known Egyptian writer and historian Dr. Yousef Zidan, following statements made by the famous journalist Amr Adib on ONTV.

"We are happy to hear the words of the writer and historian Joseph Zidane, describing the good relations between Jews and Muslims even before the appearance of the Prophet Muhammad, and even today, pointing out that the roots of the wars between the parties belong to the extremists."

"There is no doubt that the message of Zidane's interpretation of the need to discard the culture of hatred between the two sides is an important message in our view and that cooperation between Jews and Muslims would benefit both the Egyptians and the Israelis.

Of Joseph Zidan the idea that the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the city of East Jerusalem is not what is mentioned in the Koran in the process of Isra, but the Al-Aqsa Mosque is another mosque located in the Taif area in Saudi Arabia currently.

Therefore, Dr. Zidane stressed that Jerusalem does not have Islamic holy sites, as many confirm, and that the holiness that Muslims give to the mosque in Jerusalem is sacred in the people themselves and not because of the religious value of the place.
