The marriage of Prince Harry and Megan Markle, the father does not want to embarrass the bride

Prince Harry, 33, the grandson of the Queen of Britain and sixth in the Order of the Throne, will marry Megan Markle, 36, at St. George's Church in Windsor Castle on Saturday (May 19th).

Thomas Markle, 73, was expected to accompany his daughter Megan to the church walkway in front of 600 guests, including senior members of the British royal family and a crowd of celebrities.

But the TMZ website said the bride's father had decided not to attend the ceremony at Windsor Castle, the seat of the British kings nearly a thousand years ago.

Thomas said he did not want to embarrass his daughter or the royal family after reports that he had allowed a photographer to take artificial pictures of him for money and had a heart attack a week ago.

"It's a very special moment for Miss Markle days before her wedding," said Prince Harry's office statement at Kenzington Palace.

A spokeswoman for Prince Harry declined to comment directly on the TMZ report or to say whether or not Megan's father would attend the wedding.

"He had heart trouble and suffered a heart attack," said Samantha Markle, sister of Megan, a sister of the Good Morning Britann television program.

TMZ said Thomas Marckle had agreed to take pictures in the hope of improving his image.

He shows up in one of the pictures watching Megan and Harry on a computer while appearing in another while taking measurements of suit.

If Meegan's father did not finally come, British newspapers suggested that her mother, who will spend the night before the wedding at a luxury hotel close to the venue, accompany her on the church walkway.
