Dubai United Arab Emirates:- The Moroccan judiciary has sentenced Moroccan singer Donia Batma to one year in prison, after being found guilty of the case of blackmailing celebrities known in the media as "Hamza Moon Bibi".

On July 30, 2020, the Court of First Instance in Marrakech had sentenced Batma to 8 months in prison, before the Marrakesh Appeal issued its ruling to add 4 months in force, bringing the prison term in force to 12 months.

Batma was also convicted of broadcasting and distributing through the information systems the statements and pictures of people without their consent, and broadcasting false facts with the intent to harm the private life of people with the intention of defaming them, participating in that, threatening and obstructing the functioning of this system.

Also, the initial ruling against the singer's sister, Ibtisam Batma, was upheld with a one-year prison sentence.
