The public prosecutor in Turkey opened an investigation into the disappearance of two billion dollars, and the investigation included 78 people, 62 of whom were arrested and issued arrest warrants against 16 other people associated with the "Theodex" cryptocurrency company, after complaints from users.
The case affects about 391 thousand investors, and investments estimated at two billion dollars, and this is the largest fraud in Turkey's history.
Farouk Fateh Ozer, owner of theodex company, denied these allegations in a statement on "Twitter", and said that the company was targeted by a smear campaign.
He explained that the company temporarily closed trading after the accounts showed abnormal activity due to a cyber attack.
Ozer also asserted that the allegations that the money had disappeared are untrue.
Turkish media reports said that Ozer left the country for Albania, while Ozer confirmed this, but said that the trip was to meet with foreign investors.
