When does air traffic return to normal ??

Dubai United Arab Emirates:-- Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Emirates Airlines Group, said that he expects the return to travel after a year and a half, due to the pandemic of the Coronavirus.

The International Federation of IATA, which represents 290 airlines in the world, expects 2020 revenues for airlines in the Middle East that operate more than 1,300 aircraft to decrease by 19 billion dollars, a decrease of 39% from last year.

This would cause 800,000 jobs to be jeopardized and could result in the loss of tens of millions of travelers this year.

The Corona Virus pandemic also led to a drop in oil prices, which helped airlines achieve more profits at the beginning of the crisis, similar to Emirates Group, which announced an increase in its net profits for the fiscal year ending with the beginning of the expansion of the Coronavirus crisis.

The Dubai-based huge group said it made a net profit of $ 288 million in the year from April 1, 2019, to March 31, 2020, compared to $ 237 million in the previous year.

The group had suspended its flights in the last week of March, against the backdrop of the outbreak of the Corona virus, before it reorganized its one-way trips to specific destinations to transport citizens from Dubai to their countries. Falling oil prices helped the group increase its profits, as the cost of fuel decreased by 15 percent to reach $ 7.2 billion, representing 31 percent of total expenditures. However, total revenue, however, fell 6 percent to $ 25.1 billion, due to the Corona virus.
