Palestinian prime minister and intelligence chief survived an assassination attempt in Gaza

The convoy of Palestinian Prime Minister Dr. Rami al-Hamadallah, who arrived this morning, March 13, 2017, arrived at the Beit Hanoun crossing in the Gaza Strip.

Two gunmen opened fire on the convoy after a large improvised explosive device was planted on the side of the road between Beit Hanoun crossing and Gaza City.

"What happened today will not deter us from coming to Gaza and ending the odious division," the Palestinian prime minister said in a speech at the opening of a sewage plant in the northern Gaza Strip.
