The dismissal of the Iraqi security advisor, Faleh Al-Fayyad, from his post

Egyptian News Vision: - "Sky News Arabia" reported its correspondent in Baghdad that the Iraqi Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, relieved the National Security Adviser, Faleh Al-Fayyad, and appointed Qasim Al-Araji in his place.

The Prime Minister's decision also included exempting Al-Fayyad from the task of running the Iraqi National Security Agency and assigning expert Abdul-Ghani Al-Asadi to fill the post. Al-Fayadh is responsible for overseeing the militia of the Popular Mobilization Militia in Iraq, and the official Iraqi News Agency "Awaa" has been calling him this description in the news related to him until June 2020.

It is not yet known whether or not the decision to dismiss al-Fayadh includes the management of the PMF.

The former Prime Minister, Haider al-Abadi, had sacked al-Fayyad from all his posts in 2018, but he later returned to it by judicial decision.

Al-Fayyad's exemption comes in the context of the changes that Al-Kazemi made in senior positions in the Iraqi state, in civil, military and security institutions.

It also comes days after a verbal confrontation between Al-Kazimi and the Hezbollah militia in Iraq, after the arrest of a number of its members who were making missiles in Baghdad, before their subsequent release.
