Skin problems may be a precursor to diabetes

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: The German Diabetes Association has shown that some skin problems may be a precursor to diabetes.

The association noted pigment changes, which appear as round brown spots that look like scars on the forearm, leg or foot.

According to Sky News, severe and stubborn fungus infections, for example under the armpit or in the groin (the area between the abdomen and thigh on both sides of the body, and on both sides of the pubic area) may indicate diabetes.

Therefore, the association stressed the need to consult a doctor immediately after observing these symptoms and work to control blood sugar;
