What is unhealthy sleep, and its impact on humans?

Unhealthy sleep is less or more than the human body needs. Scientists at the University of Colorado at Boulder have done research for seven years on 461,000 people, ranging in age from 40-69 years.

The study demonstrated that unhealthy sleep can cause health problems in the heart, even for those who regularly exercise and exercise and have a healthy lifestyle.

After the scientists studied the sleep system, genetic data, and health indicators for the study sample, they discovered that they had never had heart attacks.

It became clear to researchers that people who sleep less than six hours a day are 20% more likely to have a heart attack than those who sleep between 6-9 hours, and those who sleep more than nine hours increase this percentage to 34%.

The researchers note, that sleep that lasts between 6 - 9 hours reduces the risk of heart attack in people who are genetically vulnerable to heart disease by 18%.

Lack of sleep also affects the mucous membrane of the arteries or the lining, as well as the development of inflamed cells in the bone marrow, while prolonged sleep can cause various infections in the body.
