Egyptian News Vision: - Astronomers have discovered two Earth-like planets that surpass them in size and made clear that there is a possibility of a third planet, and that the two planets revolve around a star only 11 light-years away from the sun, and the third planet orbits slightly away from the star called "Galez 887" which is a dim dwarf red star It is about half the mass of the sun.

Because of his proximity, he is the brightest red dwarf in the sky, in addition to being one of the closest stars to the solar system, and was monitored by a team of astronomers working on a project called "red dots", which is trying to find outer terrestrial planets closer to the sun.

The team observed the star's movement through the Southern European Astronomical Observatory in Chile every night for three months.

The science team has discovered the super planets orbiting the star 887 Glies via a technique called the "Harp Spectrum" of high-precision radial speed.

The Harp spectrum technique enables the detection of celestial bodies using another technique called the "Doppler wobble" or radial velocity method.

And this wobbling occurs when the star moves back and forth in the form of small oscillations due to being pulled by the force of gravity by the planets revolving around it.

Astronomers called the two planets that were discovered around the Glies 887b and Glies 887c.

The first planet completes one orbit around the star every 9.3 Earth days, while the second planet takes 21.8 Earth days to complete one orbit.

Scientists have also discovered a signal further that could correspond to a signal for another planet that takes 50 Earth days to complete its orbit around the star.

These planets are called "super-Earth" because they are larger than Earth but smaller than other planets like Uranus and Neptune, and they are located in a habitable astronomical orbit, which is the orbit in which the terrestrial planets can support the presence of liquid water on its surface.

And since the Gliese 887 star is cooler than our sun, its habitable area is much closer in range to the star - meaning that the planets orbiting it sooner are also likely to be in this range.

However, the two supernovae are a little close to the star, which means they are extremely hot and cannot hold water in its liquid form.

The two planets receive energy from the star 2.5 to 8 times more than the Earth receives from the sun.

But the third potential planet, which could also be a super-Earth, could orbit in the habitable star area.
