She killed the girl Chelsea McClellan when she was in her 15th month after injecting with a drug that relaxes the muscles, and injected another baby named Rolando Santos in his fourth week with anti-anticoagulant drug, but he survived.
A grand jury has now charged the former nurse with the charge of killing a child in her 11th month in 1981. She is accused of injecting Joshua Sawyer with a lethal dose of an antiepileptic drug.
"Jones is suspected to have killed 60 infants," the statement said.
Because of the law to reduce sanctions, which was in effect when convicted earlier, the former nurse is expected to be released from prison in March 2018.
Facing the new charges, she faces a possible 99-year sentence.
