A British family enslaved 18 people for a quarter of a century using drugs

A British family of 11 people enslaved 18 people for a quarter of a century using drugs, for 26 years, during which they lived in harsh conditions.

The victims were forced to work for the family at very low wages and in non-human living conditions.

The gang hunted its victims from shelters and streets in Lincolnshire, east of England, especially those with drug and alcohol problems.

The tragedy was revealed when provincial police and members of the National Crime Agency raided one of these sites in 2014, where the victims of the new slavery were released, ranging in age from 18 to 63 years.

The gang controlled its victims of slaves through false promises and drowning in drugs and alcohol, but without money or enough food.

The 18 men were forced to live in containers or stables next to dog houses owned by bandits, amid a lack of basic services such as heating, water and latrines.
