Mohsen Al-Sukari is free after 22 years

Egyptian News Vision: - Of the 3,157 prisoners who were released in Egypt on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, the media focused on former State Security officer Mohsen al-Sukari, who was among those released under a presidential pardon issued by President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.

Mohsen al-Sukari killed the Lebanese artist, Suzan Tamim, at the instigation of the Egyptian businessman, Hisham Talaat Mostafa, and he was condemned to life imprisonment.

The verdict was issued in 2012 punishing Egyptian businessman Hisham Talaat Mostafa with 15 years imprisonment for participating in murder and incitement, and Mohsen al-Sukari, a former state security officer, was sentenced to life imprisonment for being charged with premeditated murder, and 3 years imprisonment for possession of a weapon without a license.

The crime of killing the Lebanese actress, Suzan Tamim, is in the ugliest place in the Egyptian and Lebanese artistic community and took place in the early part of 2008.
