Sudan declared a natural disaster area

Egyptian news vision: - The rates of floods and rains in Sudan exceeded records and caused the deaths of about 100 people, which prompted the declaration of a state of emergency throughout the country for a period of three months, according to a statement by the Sudanese Ministry of Interior.

Egypt declared its solidarity with Sudan in this natural disaster, while the Sudanese Interior Ministry statement said that it considered Sudan a natural disaster area, and a higher committee was formed to prevent and address the effects of the fall.

According to official data in Sudan, the rates of floods and rains for 2020 exceeded the records set during the two years (1988-1946).

The Ministry of Water and Irrigation recently stated that the level of the Blue Nile had risen to 17.57 meters (57 feet), describing it as a historical level since the river was monitored in 1902.
