KAMASUTRA The painting of Moroccan artist Khadija Tannana is banned in Morocco

Moroccan artist Khadija Tannana put a sticky tape on her mouth and hand and published a paper on which Kama Sutra was banned from showing "to express her protest against the Moroccan Ministry of Culture, which banned the display of Kama Sutra in a contemporary art exhibition in the Moroccan city of Tetouan.

The banned Kama Sutra painting, a 200-piece piece, is shaped like a "Khamisa" hand, representing different sexual positions that reflect the contents of the famous book Al-Rawd Al-Ater in Nizha Al-Khater, which is part of the books of sexual heritage during the Islamic civilization.

In a press interview, Khadija Tannana explained that the aim of this painting is to show the aesthetic factor in addition to raising the debate about the subject of sex education, the deterioration of her country in this area and the suffering of Moroccan women in the expansion of harassment.

Khadija Tannana emphasized her constant preoccupation with the theme of the body to express its potential as human and citizen, and to break a number of taboos including sex, talk about sex education, and seek to establish it as a culture.
