Sherine Bahman previously posted a video of her dancing and wearing a short black dress, during the mourning period for the death of Prince Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and another video while she was dancing in the street, sparked an uproar and anger on social networking sites.
But Sherine denied that what was meant in the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior statement, and said in a video: "Iranian Sherine Bahman is at her home, and I am fine, and I know what I do, and I did not come out with an immoral situation, and I did nothing exaggerating with it."
The security media at the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior said: “The Anti-Cyber Crime Department, through its follow-up and monitoring of all what is published on various social media, was able to arrest a girl who posted on her account on a social networking site a video in violation of public morals.”
The Ministry of Interior added that after monitoring the video and conducting the investigation, the young woman was identified, summoned and confronted with the incident, and she acknowledged that she was the owner of the account and she was the one who appeared in the clip, to be referred to the competent authority to take the necessary legal measures against her.
The Ministry emphasized that the Cyber Crime Department monitors and follows up on any matters that violate public morals on social media, and does not tolerate anyone who misuses social media for any reason.
