Spain - (Vision Int,):- The former King of Spain, Juan Carlos I, returned from his exile, met his son, King Felipe VI, and then returned again to his exile in the Emirates.

The meeting between the former King of Spain, Juan Carlos I, and his son, King Felipe VI, comes after nearly two years of being in exile in the United Arab Emirates.

Juan Carlos I left for Abu Dhabi in August 2020, against the background of accusations of embezzlement, and returned to Zarzuela Palace, the official residence of the King of Spain, where the meeting took place.

For the first time since his departure into exile, Juan Carlos sees his son, King Felipe VI, and his wife, Queen Sofia, from whom the previous king separated long ago, and then departs for Abu Dhabi at the end of the day.

This short visit by Juan Carlos to Spain, who arrived last Thursday evening by private plane to Galicia to attend a boat race, came after the Spanish judiciary closed in March investigations targeting him on suspicion of corruption and money laundering.
