Dubai United Arab Emirates:- A glacier collapsed in the Himalayas in northern India, dredging a dam to generate hydroelectric power, and the floods evacuated villages downstream.

The Indian Air Force has airlifted disaster response teams to assist in relief and rescue operations, and army soldiers and helicopters have already been deployed.

The avalanche swept across the valley of the Dauli Ganga River, located more than 500 kilometers in the state of Uttarakhand, north of New Delhi.

The landslide killed 150 people, including more than 50 people working on the dam, the Rishganja Hydroelectric Project.

Footage shared by locals showed water washing away parts of the Rishiganga Dam and anything else in its path.
