A storm hit Britain, closed airports and canceled train connections

London Heathrow Airport and many airlines have decided to merge flights to reduce the number of flights that will be canceled due to high winds; British Airways has offered to re-book customers for domestic and European flights outside Heathrow, Gatwick and London City; Virgin Airlines has canceled some flights.

The storm, called the Bureau of Meteorology, was also supposed to bring heavy rains, prompting the office to issue 22 emergency flood warnings and 149 flood-alert warnings.

Humber Bridge, near Hull in northern England, restricted traffic due to high winds, and banned high-end trucks and other trucks and buses.

In the same context, the high waves in the Irish sea forced ferry companies to cancel many flights, and the 10 kilo race in London was expected to attract 25,000 runners.
