The Medical Syndicate in Egypt also revealed the fate of the doctor who caused the artist's crisis, Yasmine Abdel Aziz, after announcing her illness and her presence in intensive care.
A member of the Egyptian Medical Syndicate Council, Ibrahim Al-Zayat, said in televised statements: "In the event that it is proven that what happened with the artist Yasmine Abdel Aziz is a medical error, he will be held accountable in all ways, whether by law in the Public Prosecution, or through the account in the union."
Al-Zayat stressed that the account includes all doctors, "even if his name is big," and the account begins with varying degrees of punishment, from censure to permanent removal from the union and suspension from work.
He pointed out that "the use of the surgical endoscope has international guidelines that must be followed, and if a person violates these guidelines, it falls within the framework of medical negligence, and these instructions specify the places where this endoscope is used," stressing that the penalty for medical negligence is determined according to the error and the offense.
The Egyptian artist, Tamer Magdy, revealed the details of the artist's health condition, hours after her husband, Ahmed Al-Awadi, announced that she had gone through a health crisis, and asked her fans to pray for her.
Magdy said through his official account on "Facebook", "Yasmine fell into a complete coma for 14 hours due to a medical error while performing an operation."
The Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, also intervened, and issued a directive regarding Yasmine Abdel Aziz, and her brother, artist Wael Abdel Aziz, said in a post on his “Facebook” account: “We thank His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, father of all Egyptians for sending an integrated medical team to follow up on the case. And supervising the doctors who performed the operation, hoping from God Almighty for a speedy recovery for our daughter.”
In another publication, he called on journalists and social media pioneers not to publish incorrect statements or photos about his sister's health condition, and to just pray for her recovery.
