Daily Times, Dubai United Arab Emirates:- The Lebanese artist, Elissa, wrote on social media, a tweet in which she said: "I am a Maronite Christian Lebanese, and the words of a moderate Muslim cleric represent me 100 times, more than the words of a fanatical and extremist Christian cleric and out of reality, the prayer dress does not fit anyone."

This tweet sparked controversy, which prompted her to tweet again, saying, "We have seen the glory days of Saudi Arabia, and we see humiliation in the days of Iran," in reference to the campaigns of "electronic flies" that follow the Free Patriotic Movement led by "Gibran Bassil" son-in-law of Lebanese President Michel Aoun.

Elissa's response sparked the interaction of her followers, a number of whom expressed their admiration for her praise of Saudi Arabia and its role in Lebanon.

Lebanon currently lives without a government, and since the outbreak of the crisis in the fall of 2019, ranked among the most severe since 1850 according to the World Bank, the Lebanese pound has lost more than 95% of its value against the dollar.
