Stacy Conningham is the first woman to head the largest stock exchange in the world since its creation 226 years ago, replacing Tom Farley.
Cunningham, 43, worked on the stock market in a cautious and limited way throughout her career. After graduating from the College of Industrial Engineering at Lehigh University, her father, who worked for a broker, helped her get a job in the same sector. She has gained extensive experience since her inception in 1994 and has never ceased to assume new positions in all the financial institutions that she joined.
She was one of 30 women in a group of 1,300 men. In 2015, he became the chief operating officer of Nasdaq, the US stock market competition for the New York Stock Exchange.
