Just as Jerusalem was Segal’s place after the governments of several countries decided to move their embassies there, and at the forefront of those countries was the United States of America, during the Trump presidency, Washington insisting on strengthening the position of the City of Peace as the capital of Israel.
The opening of the "Friedman Peace Center" in the city of Jerusalem "was a new American step to strengthen Jerusalem's political position, as well as to implement and expand Abraham's agreements between the State of Israel and the Arab countries.
The new Friedman Center will be inaugurated on October 11, 2021 at the Museum of Tolerance in Jerusalem, in an event where the details of the Abraham agreements will be fully presented, including revealing the economic level and potential innovation initiatives between countries.
The event will be attended by the US Secretary of State, former CIA chief Mike Pompeo and former US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, as well as corporate chiefs, businessmen and government officials from the United States, Israel and the Arab world.
"Since I finished as US Ambassador, I feel it is important to maintain the same peace approach and promote the Abraham Accords by supporting those responsible for this important achievement. I am delighted to launch the Friedman Center at the Museum of Tolerance in Jerusalem," Friedman said.
