Daily Times, Dubai United Arab Emirates:- The BBC quoted General Abdullah Kohistani as saying that the US forces left Bagram base at night, without notifying the Afghan side.

General Abdullah Kohistani stated that the Afghan army had learned of the departure of the US forces from the Bagram base some time after the departure, which took place at three in the morning.

The military base includes a prison housing 5,000 Taliban prisoners, who have been advancing rapidly in Afghan territory, since the US military began the withdrawal process.

General Kohistani said the Afghan forces are expecting a Taliban attack on Bagram.
