In the same context, the Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, received Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, in the presence of Sameh Shukry, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister Abbas Kamel, Head of General Intelligence, along with Abdullah Al-Khulaifi, Head of the Qatari State Security Service. .
Ambassador Bassam Rady, the official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, stated that the Qatari Minister of Foreign Affairs conveyed to the President a message from Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, which included inviting the President to visit Doha, and expressing aspiration to enhance discussions between the two countries on ways to develop bilateral relations.
As well as discussing developments in the regional and international situations, and coordinating positions regarding them, in a way that serves the aspirations of the two countries.
Throughout the past years, Qatar has been keen on trying to destabilize Egyptian national security and undermine the country's stability for the benefit of the Muslim Brotherhood, as it hosted those fleeing justice in Egypt, granted some of them citizenship, and opened media channels dedicated to spreading lies about Egypt.
Recently, Qatar began attempts to rapprochement with Egypt, after it succeeded in returning to the Gulf house after years of boycotting in light of its relationship with Iran and its attempts to tamper with Saudi national security.
