Gantz added, during a debate in the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, that his country is ready to respond "by all necessary means if Iranian agents carry out attacks against Israelis in Istanbul," as he put it.
He explained that Israel "will respond at the time, place and means of its choosing to any Iranian aggression, with any physical or electronic dimension."
He claimed that the country has achieved several successes in recent months in mobilizing the world to fight Iran, including keeping the Revolutionary Guards on the list of terrorist organizations, calling for pressure to be applied to dissuade Iran from its ambitions to acquire a nuclear weapon.
"We are moving forward with the Pentagon on a regional cooperation program that I hope will move forward with Joe Biden's visit to the Middle East."
US President Joe Biden is scheduled to visit Israel on July 13 imminently.
