Libyan Islamists in the West are demanding more support from Turkey

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (Vision) - Fathi Bash Agha, Minister of Interior of the Government, who controls the west of Libya, Fayez Sarraj, revealed in press statements, the signing of a security agreement with the Turkish government, claiming that the agreement is related to the fight against terrorism and illegal immigration.

The Libyan interim government has declared categorical rejection of the agreement and said in a statement that it represents a cover of "alleged concord" and its people to achieve Erdogan's colonial aims by finding a foothold in Libya.

She stressed the illegality of the agreement because it requires the approval of the House of Representatives elected in "in the event of a controversial recognition of the legitimacy of the OS."

Turkey is engaged in supporting the Serag government, terrorist organizations and armed militias with money and weapons despite a UN Security Council resolution banning arms supplies to Libya since 2011.

Since the launch of the “Operation Deluge of Dignity” launched by the Libyan army in April 2019, to liberate Tripoli from terrorist organizations and armed militias, the armed forces have shot down more than 30 Turkish militia drones.
