Operation "Lock the Claw" launched by Turkey against PKK terrorists in the areas of Matina, Zab and Afshin-Basian in northern Iraq, and aims to tighten the noose around the terrorists and eliminate them in their strongholds.
Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said that the "claw lock" comes within the framework of eliminating the strongholds of terrorism in northern Iraq and ensuring the security of the Turkish borders, while respecting the sovereignty of Iraq, "a friend and brother and its territorial integrity."
The scenes published by the Turkish Ministry of Defense show the Turkish drones of all kinds, reconnaissance and armed, participating in the Turkish army's continuous operations in northern Iraq under the name "Claw - Lock."
The scenes also show Turkish local missiles and munitions, some of which are targeted, as they are used to target the sites of terrorist organizations.
The "Akinji" marches are newer than their "Bayraktar TB2" counterparts and have much greater combat capabilities, especially the weight of bombs and flight hours.
Akinji can fly 24 hours a day, at an altitude of up to 40,000 feet.
The drone can also take off with a payload of 5.5 tons, while its useful payload capacity is 1350 tons.
Akinji is equipped with high-tech features such as air-to-air radars, satellite messaging systems, obstacle identification radars, and other features that make it distinctive among its types around the world.
Artificial intelligence is prominent in the offensive process, "Aqnji", as it can collect information by recording the data it receives from the sensors and cameras on board.
And this process is carried out through 6 computers equipped with advanced artificial intelligence, installed on the march.
The sensors also enable "Aqnji" to make decisions, by perceiving the current situation at a high level, and performing planning functions for paths and tasks.
The AI system can detect horizontal and vertical angles and inclinations without the need for any external sensor or GPS.
Define wild targets
Akinji, thanks to the cameras it is equipped with for the purpose of reconnaissance and surveillance, can identify ground targets that its commander may overlook on the ground, in a move that increases the effectiveness of the use of the march.
There is no doubt that one of the most prominent advantages of "Aqnji" is to reduce the burdens of warplanes, as they will be able to carry out air strikes and bombard specific targets, through air-to-air missiles that are also manufactured with local capabilities.
"Aqnji", which is at the forefront of high-tech drones around the world, capable of carrying local missiles and munitions, whether conventional or laser-guided.
AESA radar system
Akinci also uses the AESA radar system developed by the Turkish military and electronics company Aselsan. Through the aforementioned system, it will identify targets, and then bomb them with local "Gok Doğan" and "Boz Doğan" missiles.
Through the Turkish guided missile "SOM", the march will be able to attack and strike long-range strategic targets.
Thanks to Bayraktar Akinci, the first model of the Akinci model, Turkey became one of the first three countries in the world to develop drones of this type.
In March 2022, the technical director of the Turkish Baykar Defense Industries Company, Selcuk Bayraktar, announced that the "Akinci B" march had broken a new record in height, by flying at an altitude of 40 thousand and 100 feet.
Bayraktar said in a tweet, via Twitter, that "Aqnji reached 40,100 feet, thus breaking the previous record registered in her name."
He added that Akinci recorded the highest altitude for a locally-made Turkish plane, expressing his hope that this achievement would bring good luck to the Turkish people.
This comes after the Turkish company "Baykar" announced the success of the first flight of the modern model of the Bayraktar Akinci attack drone.
The "B" model of "Bayraktar Akinci" is being developed within the framework of the project led by the Presidency of Defense Industries of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey.
"Baykar", the leading manufacturer of parades, said that the "B" model of the aircraft completed its first flight successfully.
It is expected that the aforementioned model will be the most powerful and has the highest combat capabilities in the world among the aircraft in its class, according to company officials.
