Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Dubai: Japan tested the X-ray Shinkansen train, capable of traveling at 400 kilometers per hour (249 miles per hour).

The Shinkansen train will begin its first phase of service at speeds of up to 360 kilometers per hour (224 miles), and then the Chinese Fuxing train, which is running at less than the Alpha X, will be about 10 kilometers per hour.

Tests for the Alpha-X train began on the line between Sendai and Omori, which are about 280 kilometers away, and tests are conducted twice a week at night. The Alpha-X Japanese train will enter service in 2030.

Japan has another model of the Shinkansen N700 series, scheduled to enter service in 2020 in conjunction with the Tokyo Summer Olympics, but its top speed does not exceed 300 kilometers per hour.
