Egyptian news vision: - Japanese engineers designed a device that makes people feel lonely, which is a robotic hand covered with a layer that resembles skin and radiates warmth that mimics the human feeling, and it can be pressed until it holds the hand of the person who feels lonely.

And Business Insider notes that there are hopes that later robotic models of this robot will have the characteristics of smell, sound and sweat to be like a human partner.

The prototype, which was presented at the International Virtual Reality Conference this year, did not include all the functions that designers envision, and upon providing them there will be a large and growing market for this product.

And about the effect of holding hands on fighting loneliness, James Cowan, director of the Virginia Affective Neurosciences Laboratory, says that the warmth and pressure resulting from holding someone's hand is enough to send a message to the brain to relax a little.

But he added, "The issue is not only related to the tactile characteristics of the hand that hold it, but also to who the person is and your experience with him, so there are external variables that affect the success of the robot."

This is not the first time that a robot has been invented for the purpose of holding hands, rather a robot has been revealed that performs the same purpose, but in light of the Corona pandemic, it is more important now with the increasing feeling of loneliness.
