NASA warned that the asteroid might hit Earth on May 6, 2022. Asteroid (JF1) is a very large rock with a diameter of about 130 meters, which is closer to the size of the largest pyramid in Egypt.
If it hits the ground, it will hit a force of 230 kilotons, or 15 bombs like the one dropped on Hiroshima in 1945.
NASA points out that the probability of hitting the asteroid on Earth does not exceed 0.026 percent, but if this happens we have to be prepared to deal with it. In July 2019, the asteroid approached Earth at 54,000 mph and was only 45,000 miles away.
Scientists estimate the number of near-Earth asteroids at 20,000, one of which appeared in 2013 over Russia, injuring 1,600 people.
