WHO alerts alarm on sexually transmitted diseases

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: - About 1 million new cases of sexually transmitted diseases per day, according to the estimates of the World Health Organization.

This confirms the occurrence of more than 376 million new cases a year with four diseases: chlamydia, gonorrhea, trichomoniasis, and syphilis.

The World Health Organization highlighted the lack of progress in curbing the spread of sexually transmitted diseases.

Experts are concerned about the increasing incidence of sexually transmitted diseases with drug resistance, while WHO regularly estimates the global impact of sexually transmitted diseases.
