Neha Baswan, after her family killed her, they hung her body on top of a bridge to serve as an example to her gender if they tried to wear jeans, as her grandfather and uncles attacked her with sticks until she died, and then hung her body on one of the bridges.
Neha Paswan's mother says that her daughter wore jeans and a T-shirt and performed her religious rituals. When her grandfather and uncles objected to her clothes, she replied that the jeans were made to be worn, and that she would wear them.
However, family members considered her clothes inappropriate, and insisted that she wear traditional clothes; Which led to the outbreak of a quarrel, and the girl was subjected to a violent attack that rendered her unconscious.
"They wouldn't let me accompany them, so I asked my relatives who went to the district hospital to look for her, but they couldn't find her," said the mother. The next morning, the girl's parents heard that her body was hanging on a bridge over a river.
After the girl's murder, the police launched an investigation into the murder. The girl's grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins were among the 10 people who were arrested and questioned. The police accused a truck driver of trying to dispose of the body.
