The village of Mustafa Pasha in Urgup region in the state of Noshahr in central Turkey has begun to turn into a favorite tourist destination in the famous Cappadocia region, through the implementation of a series of projects that attract more tourists.
Cappadocia is famous for its "chimneys of fairies" that were formed by natural factors, in addition to other historical tourist attractions, including churches and monasteries carved in the rock, ancient underground cities, as well as recreational activities, foremost of which are balloon flights.

Within the framework of a group of projects prepared by the state of Noshahr and the University of Cappadocia; In order to increase tourism activities in the area, hiking areas have been established in the valleys surrounding the village, and historic churches and palaces have been restored in order to attract more tourists.
The village, which has a population of about 1,300 people, hosts about 6,500 university students from the University of Cappadocia, which was established in 2005 in the city of Nevşehir.

The President of the University of Cappadocia, Hassan Ali Karasar, told Anadolu Agency that the university, in cooperation with the state authorities, is implementing projects in many fields with the aim of increasing the number of tourists and restoring the historical and cultural monuments in the village.
Karasar added that the projects being worked on aim to protect the natural, cultural and historical heritage; In order to enrich the village of Mustafa Pasha, which hosts the main building of the Presidency of the University of Cappadocia.
He continued, "We attach special importance to restoring monuments and ensuring the transmission of these historical and cultural values to future generations.
The region is one of the most important places in the world in terms of historical and natural richness."
He explained that the area contains a wide range of plants that make up its vegetation and historical cover and important buildings that reflect the cultural richness in it.
Karasar pointed out that the university has made important efforts at the international level to publicize the village, noting that the World Tourism Organization awarded the village in December 2021 the "best rural tourist destination" award.
Increasing the number of tourists in the village of "Mustafa Pasha"
And Karasar indicated that some of the historical buildings in the village were renovated by major companies specialized in restoring monuments and monuments.
He added that the number of visitors is constantly increasing, as the village of Mustafa Pasha is one of the unique places where history, culture and nature mix, away from the noise of major cities.
He added, since its establishment in 2005, the University of Cappadocia has played a major role in the development of the village and the restoration of historical buildings that have been at the mercy of environmental factors for many years.
Karasar stated that the projects implemented by the university in cooperation with the state of Noshahr in the village will turn it into one of the main tourist centers in Cappadocia.

On the other hand, the mayor of the village, Gultekin Gan, said that the village contains 650 historical buildings and 23 churches, expressing his confidence that the village will attract more tourists in the near future.
Gan said that the village of Mustafa Pasha witnessed during the last period a noticeable increase in the number of Greek tourists, and that the projects witnessed by the region will contribute to an increase in the number of local and foreign tourists.
He continued, "We have very rich tourism potential, as Cappadocia is the main tourist destination in Turkey, which is world-renowned next to us, and the village contains 250 palaces registered with the Ministry of Tourism."
The village also contains a historical building known as "Aresha Palace" (Asmali Konak), where the historic palace provides tourists with the finest hotel services and restaurants that provide tourists with delicious dishes.
